This half day in person course is for busy internal communications professionals based in Nottingham or Derby who want to be able to produce their own professional quality 'talking head' videos on a smartphone.
By the end of this half day course you will have produced your own 'talking head' video with excellent audio, lighting and background. You will also learn how to add b-roll footage to illustrate the subject being discussed and cover any necessary edit points.
On this course you will learn how to use a number of different microphones, lights and tripods. You'll also get advice on what extra equipment you should buy to best fit your needs and budget. This in person hands on approach will give you the practical skills to confidently start making your own 'talking head' videos.
The course is being taught by David James a freelance cameraman, reporter and filmmaker with over thirty years of experience working for BBC News, ITN and many corporate clients including the National Grid, the Department for Business and Trade and the NHS.
The course will be take place between 9am and 1pm on Thursday 30th January at a venue close to Sandiacre off Junction 25 of the M1.
